Group missions experiences
Multiply Maine started in 2014 in partnership with NAMB/BCNE to facilitate a church planting movement in midcoast and downeast Maine. We have since expanded to work with many churches and regions in Maine. We provide missions experiences for teams to work with multiple SBC church planters in various communities and stages of church planting. These missions include guided engagement in strategic evangelism, community building, and light construction in cooperation with church plants. Daily classroom and field training and nightly worship provided. We include immersive "Maine" experiences including state parks and coastal regions, local foods and cultures. Our intention is that groups gain understanding of biblical missiology, church planting
and evangelism and take home training and passion to reach their local communities.

immersion experience
Anchor Church (www.anchorboothbay.com) is a new church in the Boothbay Peninsula of Maine, an hour northeast of Portland and 3 hours from Boston. Boothbay Harbor and the surrounding towns are a very popular tourist area blessed with natural beauty, many attractions and events, but only 3% of residents are evangelical Christians. The year-round population of the peninsula is 8900 but swells to 40,000 in the summer with visitors and short-term workers from the Northeastern United States and beyond. Many international students from Eastern Europe and the Caribbean also work in Boothbay for the summer. The assignment for our students is to immerse themselves in this busy culture by taking jobs in local inns, restaurants and the Boothbay Country Club; lodge in employee housing dormitories, build relationships and share Christ with fellow summer workers, employees and business owners, vacationers and local residents. Wages from these jobs ($13-20/hour) will provide for the living expenses of the students. Anchor Church will provide evangelism training, encouragement and a church home for the summer as well as weekly discipling and fellowship opportunities.
